Pre-Orientation Checklist

It seems like only yesterday I was taking my pre-requisites for nursing school, and now here I am at the school's doorstep. This week coming up is orientation week for new students and I am as nervous as ever! I don't really know what this blog will become over the next two years. Maybe it will be my savior when I feel like I want to quit, or maybe one day it will help a new nursing student, or I might just give up on this blog because I will just be too tired to post anything.

I've got pretty much everything I need to get started.
  • Basic Life Support class
  • Malpractice insurance
  • TB test
  • Immunization record
  • Uniforms
  • Watch and penlight
  • Books
Now I just need to get my titers and then get my health clearance and I am all set!

Just a note to new nursing students... When you need to get your titers done, go to your current school's student health center. I went to Los Angeles Trade Technical College because I was enrolled in the Fall Semester and they let me get my blood work and TB test done there. It's much cheaper than going to see your doctor, especially if you don't have insurance. I didn't know this until I went to pre-orientation and another student told me about it. So check it out!
